oin us for a Fællesspisning (communal dining) at Send Flere Krydderier, just across from ALICE in Nørrebro. On this evening at 18:30, we gather around the tables for food made from scratch and with love. Make sure to get a place by making a reservation through Klang and pay on the night: 89 kr. for vegetarian, 114 kr. for meat.

As part of the dinner, we will also celebrate the newest recipient of the Pelle Price. So stick around for that.

Pelle Prize

We are delighted to present the Pelle Prize for the tenth time, named after the legendary composer Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen. Two prizes are awarded: one to a composer who, like Gudmundsen-Holmgreen, is not afraid to challenge the norms of the time, and one to a musician who has made a significant contribution to the interpretation and realization of new music.

As part of this year's award ceremony, 2025 prize recipient, cellist Andrew Power, will perform Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen's Variations for solo cello (1955).

As always, the recipients are not announced until the award ceremony itself. Each laureate receives DKK 15,000. Previous recipients include the composers Jeppe Ernst, James Black, Mette Nielsen, Jens Peter Møller, Marcela Lucatelli, Xavier Bonfill, Nick Martin, Kirstine Lindemann, and Arnannaguaq Gerstrøm, as well as the pianist Fei Nie, mezzo-soprano Hanne-Marie Le Fevre, and cellist Andrew Power.

The jury consists of composer and former prize recipient Mette Nielsen; Klang Festival’s Artistic Director, James Black; Jonas Bille Gamkjær of Edition Wilhelm Hansen, publisher of Pelle Gudmundsen-Holmgreen’s works; and, not least, his widow, the artist Karin Birgitte Lund.
